Prince Hanz was born with a cleft lip and palate, a condition accepted by his parents, Grace and Nonimar, who are aware of its presence in their family. Raising him alongside his three siblings has been challenging, especially due to health issues like pneumonia. Grace emphasizes the importance of love and acceptance for parents of children with cleft conditions to build their confidence. Despite facing teasing from neighborhood kids, Grace's support helped reduce the bullying. The family hopes surgery will enhance Prince Hanz’s confidence as he dreams of becoming a policeman. He enjoys singing and dancing but can be shy around strangers and often helps his mother with chores when she is stressed.
In 2022, Prince Hanz underwent cleft lip surgery with the help of Operation Smile. His family later connected with the organization Abounding in Love. In June 2024, he had cleft palate surgery through Operation Rainbow Australia and the Kiwanis Club of Cebu, which they hoped would be his final surgery. However, they found that a remaining opening in his palate indicated that further surgery might be needed. Prince Hanz is now set to join an upcoming medical mission with Operation Rainbow Australia in August, and his family is hopeful that he will qualify for additional surgery to repair the remaining opening.
Today, Prince Hanz and his family continue to look forward to a brighter future, filled with hope, confidence, and endless possibilities.
