Nerisa had a premonition during her pregnancy that her daughter, Angel, would be born with a cleft lip and palate. Unfortunately, her intuition became a reality when Angel was born with a bilateral complete cleft condition. Nerisa felt a mix of emotions when she saw her daughter, but her love for Angel only grew stronger. Though clefts were not uncommon in their family, Nerisa worried about how others would perceive Angel and how she would be treated.
Nerisa had to be strong and defend her daughter in fights, but she knew that wasn't a long-term solution. With a determined spirit, Nerisa reached out to the Abounding in Love Organization, having seen their positive impact on her son's cleft condition. She had faith that they would help Angel.
Thanks to Abounding in Love, Angel was scheduled for a life-changing surgery in June with Operation Rainbow Australia. This free medical mission was an answer to their prayers, as they were struggling financially with her husband's income as a tricycle driver. Nerisa's heart was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to change Angel's life for the better. Her brothers were excited for Angel and played with her every day to keep her spirits high.
Nerisa was certain that Angel's future was bright, and she couldn't wait to see her daughter's transformation. She knew that Angel would thrive and be unstoppable with her new smile. The family was grateful for the love and support they received throughout the journey, and they were optimistic about the future.
