to have Cleft Lip or Palate Surgery
Free cleft surgeries will be provided on March 9–20, 2026 at Adventist Hospital Cebu. This mission is especially meaningful because many of the children’s essential needs are already sponsored, helping provide meals, accommodation, and basic care for the children and their guardians.
For every 1,000 children born in the Philippines, 1 child is born with a cleft deformity. Far too often, their families cannot afford surgery, and the children are forced to endure discrimination and bullying because of their orofacial defect. Abounding in Love partners with nonprofit organizations that provide free cleft lip and palate surgery. We find cleft children in rural and urban areas in the Philippines and assist them before, during, and after the medical missions.
Most of the families we support live in neighborhoods far from the city and hospital. They don’t have any personal transportation, and public transport is a big expense. Abounding in Love provides transportation, accommodation, food, medicine, check-ups, and other necessities, which eliminates the financial burden on these families.
