Condition: Cleft Lip
Drake was born with a complete unilateral cleft condition, the youngest child of Jocelyn and a laborer father. His condition was discovered during Jocelyn's pregnancy, and while initially heartbreaking, their love and determination to care for him are strong. As an infant, he needs special attention during feeding to prevent choking. Jocelyn shares common parental worries about Drake's future, especially given a family history of cleft conditions. Despite these concerns, the family is committed to nurturing him and hopes to see him grow up healthy, confident, and supported in his passions and dreams.
To secure the treatment he needs, Drake’s family is actively seeking support. They recently learned about an organization called Abounding in Love, which has scheduled Drake for treatment this August. With the kindness of generous individuals and organizations, they hope Drake will soon receive the surgeries necessary for him to smile brightly and embrace a promising future.
