When Dwinnkyosuke was born, his mother, Aileen, held him close and cried in disbelief. She wondered why this happened to her child when she had been so careful during her pregnancy. A nurse consoled Aileen, telling her that Dwinnkyosuke was a gift from God. The mother held her child tightly, and the baby cried as if he understood everything.
One of the main challenges the family faces is the bullying and discrimination that Dwinnkyosuke experiences due to his cleft lip and palate. He would cover his mouth with a face mask whenever they went outside or had visitors. People would often ask why their child looked like that. Dwinnkyosuke is a smart and well-mannered child who dreams of becoming a policeman after finishing his studies.
In June 2023, Abounding in Love facilitated the life-changing surgery that Dwinnkyosuke needed in collaboration with Operation Rainbow Australia and Kiwanis Club of Cebu. Following the surgery, Dwinnkyosuke can now look forward to a future that is free from the physical and emotional barriers that once seemed impossible. He can now dream bigger and live a life free from the shadows of judgment and bullying. Dwinnkyosuke and his parents are now looking forward to his next operation in June 2024.

Please be aware that the children enrolled in medical missions always have the possibility of changing. It is not uncommon for children to be deemed ineligible for surgery due to other health issues. If this occurs with a child you are sponsoring, we will substitute another child in their place and notify you via email.
