Jack Daniel was born with a cleft condition that immediately touched the hearts of those around him. His mother is a housewife, while his father works as a laborer to support the family.
From the moment he was born, his parents felt deep concern and compassion for their child. Feeding quickly became one of their biggest struggles. Breastfeeding was challenging because Jack Daniel could not latch properly, causing milk to spill from the side of his mouth. Each feeding required patience, careful positioning, and constant worry.
The family soon learned that there is a history of cleft conditions in their family, as Jack Daniel has a first cousin with the same issue. This knowledge helped them better understand his situation, although it did not lessen their worries as parents.
Their greatest hope is that Jack Daniel will have surgery to reduce his risk of bullying and help him gain the confidence to socialize and live freely without shame. They believe that repairing his condition will allow him to lead a more normal and fulfilling life.
His parents became aware of the organization Abounding in Love through local midwives, who provided information about support for children with cleft conditions. After connecting with Abounding in Love, they were lined up for the upcoming March medical mission with Rotaplast International.

Please be aware that the children enrolled medical missions always have the possibility of changing. It is not uncommon for children to be deemed ineligible for surgery due to other health issues. If this occurs with a child you are sponsoring, we will substitute another child in their place and notify you via email.
