Leo Jay
Age: 1
Condition: Cleft Palate
Leo, born with a unilateral complete cleft, brought unexpected emotions to Joel and his family. Despite the absence of signs during ultrasound scans, this condition was surprising, especially considering their older children were born without clefts. Jinky, Leo's mother, struggled with feeding him due to his cleft lip and palate, which highlighted the family's concerns about his future, particularly regarding potential bullying at school.
However, hope was not lost as they discovered Abounding In Love through a neighbor, which gave them a glimmer of hope. During a June 2023 medical mission with Operation Rainbow Australia and the Kiwanis Club of Cebu, Leo underwent a successful cleft lip surgery, providing hope for his future education and aspirations. Leo's parents are grateful for the safety of the operation and
now awaiting his cleft palate surgery.
With your help and support, you make a big difference into Leo's life.
