Condition: Cleft Palate
Most parents react with worry and concern once they discover their child was born with a cleft condition. However, this was not the case for Honna when she found that her baby Levi was born with a Bilateral Complete Cleft condition. She understood that Levi's father's side of the family had a cleft inheritance, so she figured the best she could do was provide whatever her son needed and not worry about it too much.
 
Levi's older sister was reluctant to approach him when they were discharged from the hospital. She told her mother that her baby brother didn't look human, but Honna understood her and knew she would eventually come around. Levi's family and neighbors love to play and interact with him in all other aspects. He always lights up everyone's mood with his charm and playfulness. 
 
Grateful for the support of compassionate hospital staff and the guidance of Levi's uncle, Honna and her family discovered Abounding in Love, offering them hope and assistance on Levi's cleft journey.
 
In June 2023, Levi underwent a successful cleft lip surgery with the help of Operation Rainbow Australia at Visayas Med Hospital. Following the surgery, Levi can now look forward to a brighter future. Levi and his parents are now looking forward to his next operation for the palate in June 2024.
