Mark is the youngest of five children in his family and was born with a cleft condition. Though his parents were initially sad and surprised, they quickly realized that he was a healthy baby boy with a bright future. They found out that there are organizations that offer free cleft surgery, and they took advantage of this opportunity to ensure that Mark gets the best possible care.
Mark's condition has made feeding him challenging, but his family has found a way to make it work. They use a dropper in addition to breastfeeding to ensure that Mark gets the nourishment he needs. Though the parents' income is not enough to afford Mark's surgery, they got help from Abounding. With their help, Mark will receive life-altering cleft surgery, and his parents are hopeful that he will no longer bullied when he goes to school.
Mark's parents want him to have a bright future and achieve his dreams. They are committed to giving him the best life possible and will do everything they can to ensure his success. Abounding is honored to be a part of Mark's journey, and they look forward to seeing him thrive after he undergoes surgery during the June 2024 medical mission.

Please be aware that the children enrolled in medical missions always have the possibility of changing. It is not uncommon for children to be deemed ineligible for surgery due to other health issues. If this occurs with a child you are sponsoring, we will substitute another child in their place and notify you via email.
