Condition: Cleft Palate
 
Mythan was born with a Unilateral Complete Cleft condition. As we got to know the family better, we learned he was born prematurely. His mother, Angelica, thought she would lose her beloved boy. Thankfully, Mythan refused to lose and fought for his life.
 
Angelica thought at first that what caused her son to be born with the condition was she rode the motorbike when she was still pregnant with Mytha. However, Angelica told us later on that they have a cleft inheritance. She knew that Mythan needed all the care in the world. Angelica and her partner, Miguel, were determined to provide everything their child required. The family couldn't express their relief and joy to learn that he is thriving despite all the troubles of bringing Mythan into his world. The couple really wanted to get their sweet boy surgery, and they believed that once he did, he would finally be able to live a healthy everyday life and wouldn't be bullied by other children.
 
The couple learned about Abounding in Love from a family friend whose child is also an Abounding in Love beneficiary. They couldn't believe it when we told them that we would be helping them throughout Mythan's cleft journey and we wouldn't stop until he finally got the life-changing surgery he needed.
 
With Mythan's successful cleft lip surgery during the June 2023 medical mission, his parents look forward to a brighter future for their bubbly and spirited son, hopeful that this June 2024 mission will received his next operation for his palate and will continue to thrive and bring joy to those around him.
