Condition: Cleft Palate
Rileigh’s parents knew a difficult road lay ahead when they learned about his Bilateral Complete Cleft condition during the ultrasound. The couple couldn’t help but worry about their son’s future.
The family had to start from scratch when their house caught on fire in 2018. Also, in December 2021, weeks before he was born, their house was severely damaged by Typhoon Odette, which is why they felt unprepared when they gave birth to their son.
His parents hadn’t thought about seeking medical help in the past because they were afraid his body wouldn’t be able to bear the operation. Fortunately, a family friend referred them to Abounding in Love, and they immediately contacted us. A few days later, we visited them and saw Rileigh’s condition, which didn’t stop him from being a bubbly child that brightened up everyone’s day.
In June 2023, with the help of Operation Rainbow Australia, Rileigh had a successful cleft lip surgery at Visayas Medical Hospital. Rileigh and his family are now waiting for his cleft palate surgery this June. Your donation to Rileigh would cover the June 2024 Medical Mission expenses. Be part of his lifetime transformation.

Please be aware that the children enrolled in medical missions always have the possibility of changing. It is not uncommon for children to be deemed ineligible for surgery due to other health issues. If this occurs with a child you are sponsoring, we will substitute another child in their place and notify you via email.
