Zione Kade
Age: 5 Months Old
Condition: Cleft Lip
Zione Kade was born with a cleft lip, which touched the hearts of everyone around him. His family lives in Leyte, where his parents, who are farmers, earn about ₱2,000 a month. From the beginning, they worried about Zione’s fragile condition and knew he would need special care, especially while feeding.
As the second child, Zione is loved by his older sibling and has kind neighbors. However, his family fears he might feel shy or sad if others tease him as he grows older. There’s no history of cleft lips in his father’s family, but Zione has an uncle with a similar condition, helping them understand that it can happen in families.
His parents believe that surgery will greatly improve Zione’s life, allowing him to grow up happy and confident. They have been preparing since his birth and are hopeful for his future.
When they learned about Abounding in Love, they were happy that Zione could join a medical mission in Cebu. This March, they were scheduled for the screening for the Rotaplast International medical mission.

Please be aware that the children enrolled medical missions always have the possibility of changing. It is not uncommon for children to be deemed ineligible for surgery due to other health issues. If this occurs with a child you are sponsoring, we will substitute another child in their place and notify you via email.
